Memorial Day Weekend 2020

Thank you to all who ordered and spread the word during our Mother’s Day run. It’s really nice to see how many people are excited about flowers right now!

It was such a beautiful spring day in NYC, my contact-less delivery by foot turned out to be a fun adventure and opportunity for me to wander around my most favorites corners of downtown while we also sent off little floral bundles by bike uptown.

And…welcome Memorial Day weekend! Kinda hard to believe we’re on the verge of summer, especially now that it sometimes feels like we’ve lost all sense of time. While it’s obviously so different this year, I’m easing into the idea of taking things as they come, one day at a time, looking for and embracing new opportunities for creativity and adventure.

With that, I’m excited to announce another run of hand-tied bouquets for this Sunday, May 24th. This week it’s essentially curbside pick-up 9am-11am near East Village/Gramercy. You can email info@bwpfloral.com through Friday evening, 5/22 to place your order (exact location will provided along with order confirmation). There’s a $35 or a $55 option and once again, all made from blooms harvested from local farms. This week will include a mix of lilacs, tea roses and more in a bright cheery spring palette. As the weather warms, the options will range from week to week which is part of the excitement. Being that it’s been a cold spring, local peonies are not ready yet (for the most part). I’ve seen some gorgeous ones around town coming in from Holland but I’m pleased to be sticking to all local blooms during this time, thereby supporting our local small farms as we have plenty of gorgeous options right here!

I will be heading over to the West Village post 11am Sunday slinging more bouquets so the fun will continue. The forecast looks great so come say hi, stay tuned for updates or feel free to message me (you can find me here too) for further details!

Whatever you find yourself doing to pass the time this weekend, I hope you get some fresh air (while appropriately distancing) and have some fun and relaxation.
